Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation After Urination

Hello, Last Thursday I noticed a burning sensation when I was urinating. The next morning it was worse and then I could feel some pressure on my kidneys. I went to the doctor and did a urine test, he said it came back negative but gave me antibiotics anyways. I also noticed a small abrasion on the side of my penis after I masturbated on Friday. I went for an std test just to be safe but I still don t have the results. Over the weekend things got worse (more pain in urethra, kidney pressure and I felt exhausted) so yesterday I went to the doctor again. He said to stop taking the anti biotics as they should be making things better not worse. Then I went for another urine test, blood test and x ray. I don t have the results back but last night things started getting much better and then this morning I felt even better. Then later today things seemed a little worse and then when I went to the washroom I noticed the abrasion has gotten worse even though I was not sexually active. I really don t know whats up with me.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Absence of evidence of infection in urine rules out urinary tract infection.
The lesion described as 'abrasion' could be a rash.
Painless rash is seen in sexually transmitted infection - syphilis.
Thus, you need to wait for the result of tests for STDs.
I suggest you to avoid unprotected sexual activity till rash persists.
In case the test for STD is positive, you need to take precautions and treatment for the same.

Thanks and take care
