Hello,

The buzzing sound in ear is called tinnitus. Perforated eardrum causes the following symptoms:
- Ear pain that may subside quickly
- Mucuslike, pus-filled or bloody drainage from the ear
- Hearing loss
- Ringing in the ear (tinnitus)
- Spinning sensation (vertigo)
- Nausea or vomiting that can result from vertigo

Yours is a treatable cause of tinnitus. With repair of perforated eardrum, your tinnitus will surely reduce in intensity. If you don't see any betterment in symptoms even after eardrum repair, other causes of tinnitus are to be evaluated for like:
1) Inner ear damage with repeated exposure to loud noises
2) An ear wax build up
3) A middle ear infection
4) Meniere's disease
5) Any tumors in the inner ear

Please discuss the above mentioned facts with your ENT doctor and go for eardrum repair.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
