Hi, when your Celiac artery was stented what was the status of your Superior Mesenteric Artery(SMA)? That would be important. If it is flowing well with no significant stenosis then you need not worry. If there is significant stenosis in SMA then you would require stenting or open surgery for the same as usually, one of the two arteries would be required for preserving the intestinal function optimally. If the SMA is blocked then you will have to go for re-stenting or open bypass form the Celiac or SMA or both. See your Doctor or Vascular Surgeon for best advice. You can let me know your last CT Angiography report and I could advice you further. You can contact me by posting a query on 'Ask a Specialist' section of the website or viewing my profile page. Take care,
Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
