Suggest Treatment For Chest Infection, Coughing And Headache?
My partner has had flu and a very bad chest infection for a week and his coughs are quite bad to the point he heard a popping sound in his head and now everytime he coughs his head hurts, he was also saying he had a head ache before this..... is this something to worry about or should I just get some aspirin?
As you told the symptoms of your partner it appears as he is having respiratory tract infection basically lower respiratory tract involving lungs. Since one weeks time had already passed and coughing is at hight so I would like to advice you these basic investigations-
1- Culture and sensitivity of sputum.
2- Gram's staning of sputum.
3- X-Ray chest.
4- Blood- CBC, ESR, bllod sugar (fasting & post parendial).
With the help of inferences of above investigations and their clinical co-relation with clinical findings by your doctor one may reach to correct diagnosis and that may be accordingly manage.
Regards.
