Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain After Having An Heart Attack
Hi my father is 82 years old, he has smoked all his life and smoked heavily. A few days ago he had a major heart attack, and flat lined twice in the ER, he is currently recuperating the the general ward but his heart rate and blood pressure are still at times very eratic, as well as he is still suffering from chest pains. What would generally be the life expectancy of a person in such a case as well as the changes regarding recovery?
dear,it all depends on how much is the blockage in the heart arteries, there r three major arteries of the heart ,RCA,LCX,LAD,more than 70 percent blockage n any of these is significant, one can go for stent if block is distal and bypass if block is proximal, and if less than 70 percent block ,one can have medical management,as u have not mentioned amount and positionof blockage, and in wh artey it is,difficult to comment on life expectancy but age is high and u have mentioned world major attack and flat line, prognosis looks bad
