Suggest Treatment For Chronic Anxiety Disorder

my mother has been having anxiety for the past two weeks . she has congestive heart disease and 87 and overweight. she has been on citalopram 20 mg for quite a long time. her doctor are reluctant to increase citalopram because of her heart. what do you think. should she have some heart diagnosis done?

According to an FDA statement about citalopram and heart disease, does greater than 40 mg should be avoided because of the risk of heart complications.

This means that it may be possible for her dose to be increased to allow for greater control but this should be done after an assessment by both her cardiologist and psychiatrist.
