Suggest Treatment For Chronic Kidney Stones, Infection And Severe UTI
I have SLE lupus and it has caused a lot of complications. My right kidney has stones all the time. I have gone into full blown septic shock once because of a bad kidney infection. A couple of months ago my gall bladder was so infected from lupus that I was told I had sepsis. I just had a severe UTI and am still not 100%. Last night my 11 year old decided to wrestle with me which is fine because he is just messing around. However, he punched my right flank (kidney punch) today I woke up with flank pain and I m so dizzy I can t get out of bed. Could this be from the kidney punch?
There can be underlying swelling or edema over the stone loaded kidney after punch injury. Apart from current issue of punch, chronic stones, infections and rest of the symptoms have to be evaluated in terms of level of underlying antibodies, recent creatinine level, culture study of urine and white blood cell counts. Infection can be drug resistant, partially treated or recurrent from underlying stone. A detailed metabolic panel will reveal more facts about the stone recurrence reason and management accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
