Suggest Treatment For Chronic Nausea

My husband has had chronic nausea for almost two years. We think it began about the time he began taking Nifedipine. His doctor agrees this drug can cause nausea but can t seem to realize how miserable this nausea has made my husband, My husband has had several tests to rule out other probable causes. Nothing so far. Your opinion would be appreciated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern. Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Drink beverages that settle the stomach, such as ginger ale or chamomile tea.
-Avoid caffeinated colas, coffees and teas.
-Drink clear liquids to avoid dehydration (if vomiting is associated with nausea).
-Eat small, frequent meals to allow the stomach to digest foods gradually.
-Eat foods that are bland and simple for your stomach to digest, such as crackers or unbuttered bread, rice, chicken soup and bananas.
-Avoid spicy foods and fried foods.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
