Suggest Treatment For Collapsed Lungs

yes I have a question about my mother is in ICU on a ventilator. We were just told that her lungs collapsed after a suction session because her machine kept going off. They than put her on a paralytic med along with a sedative. They are saying that her lug sounds are very faint. I think that this could also be because of those meds. I do not think that this meds are the meds that they should be using please tell me what you think

commonest cause of collapse lung is a mucus plug, Get a Bronchoscopy, it may do fine. In case the Bronchoscopy fails to expand the lung, we have troubles. Lung collapse often occurs on prolonged ventillation. Just rule out pneumothorax that is causing the lung to collapse.
