Suggest Treatment For Congenital Hypothyroidism

My 31 year old daughter was born with congenital hypothyroidism. She has been on synthroid her entire life - having regular blood tests to make sure her T4 and TSH levels are within range. The problem is that she has very frequent night sweats (this started approximately 5 years ago). About 2 years ago, she went through a successful pregnancy and didn t have the night sweats during that time. She has been tested for every other cause of night sweats with no answers. Is it possible that even though her hormone levels are within range, the night sweats could still be caused by the hypothyroidism?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Hyperthyroidism would be more likely to cause excess sweating as compared to hypothyroidism.

It is possible that the sweats may be due to dysfunction of the nervous system itself so she may want to consider a neurologist if she has not already done so.

I hope this helps
