Been sick for over a month. Started to feel better but it came back. Congestion, hurts to breath in my chest, weak tired, feel like Im freezing and a runny nose. Not sure if I should spend the money on a dr visit. No temerature, was wheezing last night but not now. Im a MA so I tried to listen to my chest and I dont hear anything. I have a slight couch but nothing is coming up.
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Chest congestion and wheezing are commonly seen in heart diseases (heart failure) and lung diseases (bronchitis). So better to consult doctor and get done 1. Clinical examination of respiratory system 2. Ecg, 2d echo and stress test to rule out heart failure. 3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) for the diagnosis of bronchitis. You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) if bronchitis is there. Diuretics and cardiac inotropic drugs are required if you have heart failure. So better to first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
