Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For over a year I have had constant pain in my right thigh. The pain feels like an electric shock that either stays in the back of the hamstring area or it periodically travels up into the right groin area. I also feel an occasional pulse in the inner thigh daily that is not triggered by anything specific. If I apply pressure at the sensitive area, it almost feels like a ball in the back of the leg but its in the deep tissue. When I sit on hard surfaces I also experience discomfort to pain. A year ago I had physio done on the back of the thigh for a suspected hamstring issue which has improved my flexibility but I still have the pain. At night or after exercising (general weight lifting and cardio) my leg feels extremely heavy for hours after wards. Any suggestions on next steps would be appreciated. I have a scheduled appointment with my GP again next week. Should I request an ultrasound?
