Suggest Treatment For Constipation After Colonoscopy

I had a colonoscopy 4 years ago and everything was ok. Some pockets on my colon, but otherwise healthy. I have been constipated off and on for a year, tons of gas, and thin movements . I take a bowel softner, but I still have problems. Should I try some special fiber, or see my doctor about a possible bowel obstructionl.

Hello,

Colonoscopy may cause constipation. So cause for constipation may be due to low fibre diet or sedentary lifestyle or recent changes in the dietary habits or fissure or bowel obstruction etc.

Eat a high fibre diet, drink plenty of water. Use Benefiber or Metamucil fibre for the bulk formation of stools. Use syrp Cremaffin plus 30 ml after dinner for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
