Suggest Treatment For Constipation After Undergoing Hemicolectomy
Hi This is bala from tamilnadu and i have affected by ileocaecal tb and had a surgery in sep2008. from oct 2008 i am taking tablets. due to mass on the ileocaecal area hemicolectomy procedure has done. after surgery he told there are some more places in the small intestine are narrowing. after surgery i was able to go motion freely for 2 months. but now again i am having problem while going motion ie not able to go.. i have completed 4 months treatement..1) please let me know what to do now? 2) what to do for the places having mass?
Constipation is very very common after surgery. I recommend using over the counter Laxative option like Miralax. I also recommend to drink liquids and eat fibre-rich diet. If the symptoms continue I suggest you use enemas.
