Hello,

As per the history given by you, you can take following medications for relief of symptoms. Although it is little confusing if you are currently having diarrhea or constipation or both alternatively. Anyway, I am writing indication along with medications so that you may take these as required:

1.) For diarrhea, take Tab Loperamide 6 hourly oral
2.) For constipation take syrup Lactulose 12 hourly
3.) For pain, take Hyoscine Butylbromide four times a day

Along with that, take a high fiber diet and plenty of fluids. You need a detailed examination to rule out irritable bowel syndrome as well.

IBS is a mix of stomach discomfort or pain and trouble with bowel habits: either going more or less often than normal (diarrhea or constipation) or having a different kind of stool (thin, hard, or soft and liquid).

Please work that out with the help of your primary care physician for long term control strategies for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hoping good health for you.

Regards,
Dr. Maninder, General & Family Physician
