Suggest Treatment For Cough With Sharp Pain In Throat

I have a cough. This morning, very suddenly, a very sharp pain appeared in my throat, on the right side of my adams apple. It s constantly sore, but stabs whenever I swallow. This afternoon, I had a feel and noticed that when I push gently on the right side of my adams apple, I can feel something (strands of something) shifting under my fingers. I m speaking and eating as normal, but I m concerned I may have some damage. Is this likely?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problem you are facing is nothing serious but just an upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).
This condition can be easily treated in the following way:
1. A course of antibiotics containing Azhithromycin.
2. Decongestant syrup containing Ambroxyl and Chlorpheniramine maleate.
3. Salt water gargling with warm water.
4. Consumption of medicated lozanges.
Your symptoms should get better in about 3 to 5 days.
