I had a endoscopy on Monday. I felt fine after the procedure, but Tuesday and today I have a severe cough. Its like a little tickle then overwhelming coughing. I also have burning in the throat area from coughing so much. My GI Doctor prescribe me pantiprazole 40 mz and stated some inflammation. She also advised that she had to do a biopsy.
I understand your concern, your clinical history indicates that you have cough with burning after endoscopic examination may be because of infection and inflammation at pharynx. since there is burning so fair chances are of LPR.
Your doctor had advised you for biopsy this divert to think for ulcer or growth in the vicinity.
At present you may take-
1- Steam inhalation.
2- Cough sedatives.
3- Adequate fluid orally.
If your problem persist than move for biopsy and your doctor will plan accordingly.
Thanks for consulting H.C.M.
