Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I seem to be urinating much slower that I used to. Is there any home remedies that work or do I need to see a urologist? I am 51 and male. My friend told me that he used dilators to help him and has offered to lend them to me. Is something like that safe?
Hello As you mentioned that quantity of urine decreases and your age is 51 years old , so this may be due to benign enlargement of prostate , and this is very common among males . When such patient visit I advise them to get in ultrasound of prostate ( to find out the size of prostate with weight ). + dutasteride ,once in day . Since this is a o prescription drug so consult a surgeon and get prescription.
