Suggest Treatment For Depression And Mood Swings

the doctor has prescribed this tablet to my daughter. My daughter is going through a period of depression and gets angry on her own parents. She does not speak to anyone even to her parents and does not do any work Mostly sitting silent without any activity She has left her well paid job 2 years ago. We have taken her to a counselor who advised her to take this tablet for 15 days along qith some other medicines. I was told that this tab should not be taken for long and there are lot of side efects. Therefore I want your advice on this

Welcome to healthcaremagic. Please note that it would be helpful if you provided the medication that she was prescribed as there are many that can be used to treat depression and mood swings. In any event I would urge you to have her visit with a psychologist, it has been shown that medications and behavioral therapy are more promising than medications alone.
