Suggest Treatment For Diabetes And Bronchitis

i was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. started losartin, for 2 years. coughed very badly. was diagnosed with bronchitis twice. the coughing was very bad, kept me up nights, etc. in year 3 i found out coughing was a side effect of losartin. went to lisinopril. coughed began after a few months. not as bad as losartin, but not good. went to felodipine. cough is very much better, but cost is $1 per pill daily. any suggestions for an insurance covered alternative?

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be triggered by the use of ACR inhibitors and may need to be switched to calcium channel blockers and may use of cough suppressant like diamorphine may be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
