Suggest Treatment For Diabetes With Sugar Level 260
Hi Sir, this is vijay. My father having diabetes, his age is 60. now a days the sugar level is varying so much.
Yesterday before food sugar level was 40, today after food it is 260 like this it is varying. He getting very much tiered. We dont know what food he has to take, which doctor we need to consult, which is the best clinic?
If possible can you suggest me regarding this issues

Hi,
His sugar levels are fluctuating too much. First we need to check for the cause for this. Kindly let us know since when he is suffering from diabetes, what drugs he is taking, any comorbidities. These will help in management.
For now ask him to have food at regular intervals of 3 hours, if any hypoglycemic feelings then he should take one spoon of sugar or sweet or even chocolate. To prevent hyperglycaemia ask him to take little food which will give not more than 250 - 300 kilocalories each time and to adhere for his drugs. These will help him.
