Thanks for contacting HCM. Dear patient as per your reports you have diabetes and need to take measures immediately to control blood glucose levels. You can try following-
1.     If you are obese try to loose weight as it will help tremrndously.
2.     Eat frequent small meals at three hours intervals.
3.     Avoid starchy, fried, sugary, fast and junk food.
4.     Avoid white rice and white bread.
5.     Eat plenty of fresh vegetables, salads and fruits(avoid very sweet fruits if your blood glucose levels are very high).
6.     Eat nuts regularly especially almonds.
7.     Eat fish( either baked, boiled or roasted) at least three times a week.
8.     use olive oil for cooking.
9.     Exercise regularly especially aerobic activities like walking.
10.     Sleep for 6-8 hours daily.
11.      Take skimmed unsugared milk, curd and yogurt regularly.

Besides these as your blood glucose levels are high, I would suggest that you take medicines to control blood glucose levels under guidance of a doctor. for you metformin and glimpride combination could be a good choice. Regards

Diabetologist Dr. Riyaz Sheriff's  Response
Both your blood sugars are high. It is advisable to start on a very low dose tablets plus start a planned exercise and healthy diet regimen which is apt for diabetes. Once your blood sugars come down there is every possibility to manage your sugars only with diet and exercise. In India majority of patients develop diabetes due to a combination of lesser insulin secretion from pancreas and a higher degree of insulin resistance in the body.
