my dad is 63 years old with all the complications of diabetes for past 15years.. presently he is on insulin 26-0-22. his creatine is 2.6 and potassium is 5.9. this has been the value for past 1 mth. no ecg changes of hyperkalemia and echo is Normal otherwise. shall i give him a k bind
Dear sir i can understand your concern.in my opinion potassium 5.9 is not a good valve.the next thing is potassium level will not always correlate with ECG changes. Are you meeting nephrologist if not kindly meet him and follow his advise.K-bind is not a on demand medication it should be taken regularly along with calcium carbonate 500 mg three times along with food, vitamin d supplementation.
