Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ate breakfast 20 hrs. ago at 7am. I remained bloated and vomited most of it out at about 12 noon. The rest came an hour later. I drank a little water and took some paracetamol for my raging headache (I get them often). The water came back up a few hrs. later. There was diarrhea with the initial vomiting, but not since. I have only urinated twice since yesterday morning and only 1/4 each time. I ate some dinner late last night but I can feel that it has not been processed by the stomach, yet there is no nausea, just discomfort. No fever. No other symptoms. Sound familiar?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection. Some advices that I can give to you are: -Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. You need to drink more than usual to replace the fluids lost from vomiting and diarrhea. -Take paracetamol for any fever or aches and pains. -Get plenty of rest. -Take probiotic supplements.
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question I’ll be glad to help. Regards, Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi General & Family Physician
