Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Swelling Of Legs And Back Pain

My father(age 68yrs) became unconsus four times in the month of Sept.'11 but there was no previous history of such incidence. He is a petient of high BP (160/110). Doctor prescrib him Valparin chrono 500 twice dailly. alongwith lobate 100 (Twice), Losar H (one), Rivotril (one). Now there is no such unconsusnes problem. Blood pressure is also under control (110/70). But he is suffering from stomack problem, sometimes diarrhea, swelling of legs, low back pain. he is now unable to take proper amount of food as he feels tasteless. Can you tell mewhether it is due to side effect of any medicine? or any thing else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Greetings Sir/ Madam. Since the blood pressure are under control , my opinion was that it could be of some condition called Irritable bowel syndrome.
But it's advisable to have your father Examined again by a Physician to help rule out other conditions causing discomfort to your father .

Yes, agree with you that it may be due to Medicine side effect but it alone cannot be a cause for it.
