Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea

I woke up in the night with diarrhea continually til my stomach felt empty then this morning had severe tailbone pain so took a sinus pill and an aspirin which relieves the pain which sometimes includes the right knee. Right after taking the pills I had a sudden urge to go to the restroom and diarrhea was back. Pain seems a little relieved after the diarrhea.

Hi,

It appears to be due to GI infection. For which I will suggest you to take plenty of fluid and electral powder to prevent fluid and electrolyte insufficiency. Also take a course of probiotics along with mild antispasmodic like Drotavarine. Meanwhile get your blood and stool examine (Complete hemogram and stool routine microscopy) to see for any infection and if it is there the a course of antibiotic like Ofloxacin will also be required.

I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wish you a good health.

Regards,
Dr. Amit Jain
