Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, nausea And Severe Belching

Hi I had very bad diahorrea this morning which came on very suddenly , It lasted for about 5 hours with symptoms coming on in waves with very bad nausea ... Very bad cramps at the top of my stomach with lots of belching and some retching ... I also felt cold and achy ... Everything has settled down now appart from intermittent pain in the top of my stomach , lots of gurgling and lots of belching ... I ve only drink water all day but don t feel hungry in the slightest . My 5 year old son had 4 bouts of vomiting yesterday morning which only lasted 5 hours ... Could this be a tummy bug I ve caught from him even though I m a lot worse ??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having acute gastro-enteritis or indigestion due to taking some heavy or spicy junk food.
Take antispasmodic medicine for pain and gurgling as needed.
Take plenty of water and electrolytes.
Take light diet like curd, rice and buttermilk ad give rest to stomach.
Ok and take care.
