Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea,vomiting And Frequent Fever
hi my name is Reji...the question is for my younger sister aged 30 suffering from kidney transplant disease for the last 3 months. Her kidney was transplanted in the year 2004...till august she was alright then suddenly there were swelling on her both her legs. upon visiting the doctor her creatinine level was 4 and the nephrology doctor advised her to go for kidney biopsy test. the biopsy test was normal and they declared the transplanted kidney was functioning normal. But after the kidney biopsy test she is not keeping well and she suffers from diarrhea, vomiting and frequent fever. she is still admitted in hospital for these treatment but nothing is happening and still has the same problem. doctor need your kind advice. Since, the kidney biopsy is normal and transplanted kidney is working well the cause for her symptoms like, not feeling well, diarrhea, vomiting and frequent fever is something else.
This can be diagnosed by the following:
-Consult a specialist in infectious diseases to get a clinical evaluation and examination
-Extensive tests to get the cause like blood culture
-Urine culture
Also go for:
-X-ray of abdomen and chest
-Ultrasonography of abdomen.
Any other investigations can be done as needed. All these will get the proper diagnosis and give a plan of proper management.
