Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Swallowing While Having Aspergers Syndrome
My son is a 41 year old man with Asperger s Syndrome. He occasionally has difficulty swallowing. He feels like food is stuck in his throat, and nothing, even water, will go down until he is able to vomit. It is happening more and more often. What should we do?
Asperger syndrome as such doesn't cause difficulty in swallowing.A barium swallow study is to be performed to rule out pharyngeal pouch, growths in food pipe obstructing food, neurological conditions like achaladia cardia.A neurology opinion also helps to consider neurological causes.
