I went to the doctors with discharge, irritation and burning when I pee, I was told it looked like herpes and I was treated for it, my test results came back not isolated for herpes but positive for BV, I am taking medicine for BV now and my symptoms are coming back except I don t have the burning sensation what could this be in getting scared
Hello dear Understand your concern I think it is recurrent bacterial vaginosis or mixed infections. Exact diagnosis should be made by examination, vaginal swab tests and urine routine & microscopic examination.
I prescribed following medicine and advice in this type of case. Tablet metronidazole. Clotrimazole and clindamycin vaginal suppository at bed time for mixed infection. Lactobacillus vaginally or orally. Use V vaginal plus wash to maintain proper pelvic hygiene. Wash the vagina with warm water and then apply apple cidar vinegar. Wear pure cotton loose under garments. Avoid sweats in pelvic area. Avoid excessive sweets and yogurt in the diet. Drink plenty of waters and diet rich in vitamin E, C and A. Report to gynecologist and get examined and take proper treatment Hope this may help you
