Suggest Treatment For Discomfort In Stomach Like Hiccups.

Hi, I m 38 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child and lately my stomache has been moving in a very fast and rythmic way, way faster than hiccups. The reason I am worried about this is that my 2nd child was born with a herniated diaphragm and it reminded me of how he breathed when he was born.

Hi.

Breathing patterns and gastric motility patterns can change during pregnancy due to the sheer size of the grown or growing uterus which occupies most of the space in the abdominal cavity putting pressure on the diaphragm as well. If you notice any change in parameters including your respiratort rate or heart rate then you can report the changes to your treating doctor.

Best wishes.
