Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a diagnosis of diverticulosis and have had 1 episode of diverticulitis severe enough to be treated with antibiotics. I'm am currently experiencing the same, but milder, discomfort in the same area, mainly just when I take a deep breath. This morning I noticed I have a slightly raised red rash, not itchy, that seems to accompany the diverticulitis. It's on very specific parts of my body; the same places each time. I can't find any reference to it on-line. It usually goes away when the gut pain does. Have you ever heard of this before? My GP thought it was a reaction to the antibiotics when I had it the first time, but I haven't had any treatment in the subsequent, milder episodes.
HI Well come to HCM Your query is highly appreciated, the given symptoms of abdomen discomfort may not be the symptoms of diverticulitis, even the rash also is not due to that but it could be due to hypersensitivity reaction due to some allergens, most of the time such rash is self limiting may not need any treatment, hypersensitivity is very common symptoms, it may be due to antibiotic but it has to be confirmed, Hope this information helps.
