Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Motion Sickness After Whiplash Injury On Neck
I was in an auto accident and diagnosed with whiplash of neck back in 1998, now, when I get up, move fast or just turn my head I get dizzy and motion sickness. do I have a bone spur in my neck? it hurts on both sides of my neck when I move my head and now I am having dizzy spells upon getting up and moving too fast. Should I take dramamine?
As per your query you had accident long ago and now you are experiencing problem like dizziness and motion sickness . This condition is also known as cervical vertigo . There can be may resaon responsible for such condition like vertebral artery compression , cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) leak , nerve compression or condition like meniere's disease . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist and surgeon for prope examination . Doctor may order CT scan and MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may perform surgical procedure to correct the condition or prescribe motion sickness drugs or eprisone to correct the blood flow . For now get physical therapy and take proper rest .
