Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, Yesterday I went to the DR because i got dizzy and was having palpatations, All the blood work came out fine, but they told me if the problem continued to go to the ER. Last night I only slept for about two hours I had a constant twich in my forehead and everytime i went to fall asleep i would jump up it was actually kind of scary. Now I feel like my head has pressure in ears and behind eyes not really any palpitations this morning compared to last night. My EKG and blood work came back fine, BP and Heart Rate was also good. Could this be Sinusitis? Could these type of Palpitations come from Sinus Issues? I rarely have any stress so hopefully I have not thrown myself into the realm of Panic Attacks. Should I go to the ER?
Your symptoms could be related to a sinus infection. Do you have any other symptoms like running nose or congestion? For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests: • A sinus x-ray study • A sinus discharge bacterial culture • PCR and ESR for inflammation • Thyroid hormone levels for thyroid dysfunction
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ilir Sharka
