Suggest Treatment For Double Vision In A Diabetic Patient
My husband got suddenly double vision in right eye. he is diabetic patient. dr told in Chicago 3rd nerve problem. we came to USA 2months back,6months before he got bells policy in India,we saw pranesh dr Coimbatore. he gave a steriod Medicine and it got cured with in 3 weeks ,now he got 3 rd nerve problem. What to do?
Cranial nerve palsies are common in Diabetes and can lead to double vision. I will suggest you to control sugar,BP and lipids stringently.A CT Scan of brain is advised to rule out lacunar infarct. You should take some antiplatelet like aspirin and Vit B12 also. You can also take Deflazacort course, steroid which does not increase sugar. It may take upto 6 to 8 weeks time for complete recovery
