Suggest Treatment For Dyspnea While Having Edema

Good morning doctor,. I m haneef. I need one a help. My mother is suffering from dyspnea due to edema. I don t know it s exactly due to that. Her wait approximately 102. She had this problem 8moths before. Edema only her both legs.day before day she had same problem. We took her to hospital.doctor prescribed diuretic and resorphyl tablets.but now she is having again. What should we do. Pls give some solutions

Dyspnea with lower limps edema are not symptoms to take lightly because they always reveal serious health problems.The first and the most probable in the case of your mum is a heart failure.However, confirmation by a medical Doctor is needed since there are many other signs we will need to conclude with certainty. Other medical problem that can give her this problem are liver and renal problems.I will advise you take her to the hospital for a medical evaluation.She may be hospitalized and IV diuretics will help her for the start.Over-the-counter management of her condition is not an option to consider since some work-ups will be needed like a chest X-ray, ECG, liver and renal function tests.
