my sister had sudden hearing loss in one of her ears over the past memorial day weekend. She had MRI, no tumor or infection, Dr. put her on steroids. She has constant unbearable noise in her ear & when people talk it is muffled. Where can she go to get help to get rid of the noise
Hi Thanks for your query and concern for your sister. When the hearing problems continue in spite of normal MRI, you should consult the Specialist called Neuro Otologist for further clinical evaluation, investigation and treatment.
If everything is normal, review by a Psychologist is also called for. Such problems are very tricky and can drain lots of resources, but you have to continue on till she gets the result as this condition is debilitating.
