Hi, I am writing on behalf of a friend who is 54 years old male.
He has been having edema in his legs for the last 6 months. A ring develops from his socks, he cannot stand for long time although he is athletic and overweight at the same time. he can walk and run but cannot stand for few minutes.
his lab test results since March 2014 and august as follows:
FT3 : 4.31pg/ml , FT4: 26.07 pmol/L, TSH: 0.719 uIU/mL CRP: 6.63mg/L, then CRP repeated in May 2014 to reach 10mg/L.
vitamins B12 and D are in normal range. Calcium, ferritin, uric acid are normal too.
in August, triglycerides : 271 mg/dL, FBS 127mg/dL, RF is normal
many more tests are normal.
ECG is normal and the Echodoppler is good with Normal LV and Normal valves, Ejection Fraction 56%.
He is hypertensive on plendil (felodipine) and on Beta Blocker (nebilet) for the palpitation he expresses.
he is taking De-watering a diuretic like medication to release the edema. He suffers from thirst at night and his libido is low.
Every physician he sees changes his medications without defining the real problem.
hope you can help.
thanks a lot.
