Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor... I was recently diagnosis with a liver hemangioma by ultrasound. The reason I had the ultrasound was due to elevated liver enzymes. From what I have read hemangiomas do not cause elevated liver enzymes. Sould I be worried? And my question is, is it okay to drink alcohol with a liver hemangioma? I am only 25 and do drink 1-2 times a week consuming a good amount of beer. I am by no means an alcoholic but have become very worried. Also is it ok to take tylenol with elevated liver enzymes? Thank you

It is non cancerous and usually do not require active treatment.. If it is symptomatic than surgical excision needed.... If needed investigation done with hbsag detection, anti hcv detection, Celiac disease screening etc for marked elevated liver enzymes..
