Hello,
Thank you for your query.
If you took the tests after your period was late, then it probably is right. However, sometimes hormone imbalances can delay ovulation and result in a delay on periods.
I recommend :
- wait for 10 days. If you still don't get your period, take another pregnancy test and see an
OBGYN with results, either way.
-an ultrasound scan
-blood tests (
hemoglobin levels, Thyroid profile, reproductive hormone levels). This is, if your cycles are repeatedly irregular.
Endometriomas (chocolate cysts), if too big, needs
laparoscopy to be safely Removed.
Medications like
oral Contraceptive pills and injectable Contraceptive can help Control symptoms of bleeding and pain.
During this time, your period will gradually decrease in frequency and may cease for as long as you take the medications.
Hope this helps. If you do not intend on getting pregnant, I advice you to use some method of
contraception. Please talk to your OBGYN to discuss what is best in your situation.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Wish you good health
