Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Tonsils, White And Dark Spots
My tonsils are enlarged one of them has white spots on it (most of the tonsil is white) and the other has white spots and dark spots. My throat hurts but isn't scratchy it just feels swollen. I have been running a fever of about 99.0 to 100.3 all day. Are the dark spots something to be concerned about and do I need to go back to the doctor? I already went today but I don't know exactly when this came about.

Well as per your query you are suffering from throat infection and tonsillitis .
The white spot on tonsil can indicate few thinks like Streptococcal infection , a tonsil stone or pus filled tonsil and dark spot again indicate inflammation and infection of tonsil .
This kind of infection occur when we ignore small infections or they left untreated like common cold or sore throat .
Do warm saline gargles . several times a day .
Do betadine gargles twice a day .
Avoid cold and acidic food or drinks as it can exaggerate the condition .
Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis .
Doctor may order blood test ,throat swab test or tonsil biopsy to confirm the diagnosis and rule out condition like tonsil stones .
Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin or penicillin) for 10 - 15 days . along with anti inflammatory drugs and anti allergic drugs .
