Neurologist 's  Response
Hello:

The symptoms you are describing may be due to focal seizures, previously known as "petit mal". They can present differently, depending on the location of the brain affected, and can get better with antiepileptic drugs like phenytoin, valproic acid, lamotrigine, pregabalin, gabapentin, levetiracetam, clonazepam or topiramate. If you are taking one or more of them, you may need treatment adjustment: increasing the dosage, add on another medication, change the medication. If you are not taking any right now, it is good time to start.

I suggest consulting a neurologist for a complete assessment. If this is the first time you are having this symptoms, you will need an electroencephalogram and brain MRI or CT, looking for the cause of them (it depends on your age: tumors, infection, stroke, metabolic diseases, etc). If you had this symptoms before but now they are getting worse, you need to rule out precipitant factors, as infection. You may need to do some laboratory test as liver function test, thyroid panel, complete blood count, glucose, creatinine, urea , And maybe measure the serum level of antiepileptic drugs.

I hope this helps. If there is something else I can help you, or if you have any doubt, please let me know.
