Suggest Treatment For Extreme Tiredness And Weakness
I have been suffering from exhaustion, feeling weak for over a year with episodes when I suddenly feel so weak I can barely stand up. I've also constantly been ill from infections, colds, sickness bugs etc. All doctors can find is my ferritin level is 22 but my iron level is fine.
Could the ferritin level be the cause of the exhaustion, weakness and poor immune system?

you are sufferring from Anemia of chronic disease also called also called hemosiderosis.In this condition Blood iron levels will Jain normal but body cannot use stored form of iron (ferritin).so symptoms like weakness,leg cramps,shortness of breath,frequent infections occur.Iron administration is contra indicated in your case.Iron chelating agents like Desferroxamine will be helful.In refractory cases Phlebotomy is the treatment.so consult your doctor and discuss with the treatment options.
