MY SISTER SAYS SHE HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH SOMETHING CALLED MIFASEYUSGRAVIS I DONT THINK YOU SPELL IT THIS WAY IT IS A DROOPY EYE CAUSED BY THYROID BEHIND BREAST BONE COULD YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT THIS IT JUST CAME ON ALL OF A SUDDEN AND SHE IS EXTREMELY DISTRESSED ABOUT IT THANKYOU

I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

She may have myesthenia gravis.

In ocular myasthenia gravis concomitant hyperthyroidism is most frequent. And drooping of eye is common symptom.

So her symptoms are due to that. She should tested for T3, T4 and TSH level, acytyle choline esterase antibodies and other routine investigation as well as she need proper examination.

Steroids and acetyl choline esterase inhibitor like pyridostigmine or neostigmine remains the mainstay of treatment.

So consult your doctor and plan accordingly.
