Suggest Treatment For Fatigue And Shortness Of Breath In An Elderly Person

My older brother (57) keeps having issues that come on out of no where. He is heavyset, on kidney and BP meds. He will get really clammy, short of breath, extremely tired and he says his face, under his eyes starts to tingle! These things last any where from 5 minutes to 45 minutes. The longer ones just drain him of any energy. His primary doctor and a pulmonologist (sp) can t seem to find any issues

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The fact that his symptoms last for minutes to less then an hour and because his examination is normal and doctors don't find anything worrisome, it is very likely he is having anxiety symptoms.
If these are happening too often then treatment for anxiety can be started with medications and or counselling.

I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
