My chid aged 10 years has fever for the last 5 days ranging 101.5-103.He is not taking medicines, throws up twice a day.. Twice check with Pediatrician. They ruled saying its Viral infection only. How long will it persist? today he has a small rash on his cheeks.. Is this normal? pl advice
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child is having symptoms of fever and body rash. It could be due to allergic reaction as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain proper oral hygiene. You should take Diphenhydramine and Dextromethorphan for 4-5 days.Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Take ibuprofen one tablet twice daily. Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Throat lozenges one every 4 hours is helpful. Apply cold compresses and do tepid sponging. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take you take nasal decongestant sprays, antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present. You should avoid it
