Suggest Treatment For Fever And Sudden Vomiting In A Child
Dear doctor my daughter is 1yr 2mth old since the last 12 hrs she vomited 3 times over what ever is fed to her. She is having fever too. We gave her Ondem 3.5ml as directed by a local physician here. I m worried please suggest if anything else needs to be done. Please help ASAP.
Hello dear. Vomiting is common at this age because children put so many things in their mouth which may lead to some gut infection. The main strategy is to replace the lost volume of fluids. Keep your child adequately hydrated. Give her coconut water, fruit juice and ORS.. Adequate hydration will help to control diarrhoea. But if it is not subsiding with these measures then she may have to be admitted in hospital and given IV fluids.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
