Suggest Treatment For Fever In 12 Month Old

friday morning my 12mth old son awoke with a fever of 100.8. I gave med(children panadol) and water bath in order to get fever down.during the day no fever... but during the night into this morning fever came back.. 98 to 99. He s not eating food but will drink is milk(formula) an water... any suggestion as to cause.

Hi,

I guess he is having only fever. If no other associated symptoms like cough, vomiting or loose stools, and he is active otherwise, nothing to worry. This may be a simple viral fever. Just give paracetamol every 6-8 hours, he will be fine in 3-4 days. If fever not getting down by 3 days, or develops other symptoms, we will need a consultation to look for the focus of infection and treatment accordingly.
