Suggest Treatment For Fibroadenoma And Swelling Near Prominentia Laryngea
40 year old female recently diagnosed with a 6mm fibroadenoma . I am 12 years postmenopausal. I found this on self exam. .I also noticed swelling in my throat in the adams apple area..had thyroid us. 6mm nodule..and a neck mass with a ring shape that the endocrinologist has refferred me to an ent for in 2 weeks.pc ran tsh 2.27, next week same lab tsh 4.81 reffered to surgeon over breast..results come back in a year. Endocrinologist come back ina year .for nodule check ..3 weeks for more bloodwork..in the mean time I have lab values that are worrisome to me..platelets 427. Neutrophils 54. Lymphocytes 37%. A/g ratio 2.4. Rdw of 12.9..so how worried should I be in honest reality. And how fast should I get a second opinion because so far everyone seems unaffected by these results except me.
Fibroadenoma is treated by surgical removal so you need to consult your surgeon to plan surgery. The blood reports for TSH, platelet count and differentials for neutrophils and lymphocytes is within normal range. The neck swelling in throat needs to be diagnosed by radiological investigations. An aspiration cytology of the neck nodule may also be required under radiological guidance.
