Suggest Treatment For Finger Pain And Immobility Post An Injury

I injured my left hand ring finger in a fall last month. My dr. said I should use a carpal tunnel brace, but it still hurts. I am left handed and it is impossible to immobilize the finger all the time. Is it possible for it to heal by itself, or should I see an orthopedic. Thanks, Roz

Hi,

If there is no relief then you should consider seeing an orthopedic specialist for assessment. He or she may require additional imaging of the affected area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
